Additional The Bird & The Bee Information

Made up of vocalist Inara George, who has been aptly referred to as "a modern day Audrey Hepburn with the voice of an angel," and keyboardist/producer Greg Kurstin, who has lent his talents to records by Beck, The Flaming Lips, Lily Allen, Peaches, and many more. The Bird and the Bee take elements of everything from the Beach Boys to 60's Brazil electronica, spinning them into this irrepressible collection of ten sunshine-drenched, semi-psychedelic ditties.

What Customers Say About The Bird & The Bee:

I found out who these guys were from the Apple video on YouTube. I bought the album and heard all the other awesome music The Bird & The Bee makes. It is definitely not your normal "pop", but utilizes atypical elements and sounds in their music. I particularly enjoy track 4 and track 6.

I also thought My Fair Lady was cute and clever. Soothing, laid-back, catchy.

Despite the 'Explicit Lyrics' tag on every single song, which threw me off, none of them are that bad (except the obvious title, which I didn't import). I guess the implications in a couple of the songs (like 'Again and Again') could be explicit, but -- oh well.

At first I had no idea why I ended up with this CD, but I'm glad I did. It's not your typical pop, more in the line of Emiliana Torrini or the Delgados with a touch of Jem.

I heard that song first when I watched the video on all the Mac effects, which is way fun, it's a catchy song, pulls off being repetitive well. What caught me in this CD was the style of music.

I've only listened to it once, but the ones I liked right off the bat are Again & Again, Because, and La La La. It's worth trying out; unless you're looking for hard-core rock, you'll probably like it.

I saw a performance on Jimmy Kimmel, downloaded a couple of tunes, and ended up buying all three CDs and an Inara George CD, too. It's light and fun, and the lyrics aren't inane enough to be annoying. I've been playing all four for the last three weeks, and they make a great shuffle with some Stereolab.Drawbacks.The "explicit" content is irritating only because I can't give it as a gift: "F***ing Boyfriend" just won't slide in house with four kids. And of course "lying prostate": what good are a row of prostates. Anybody.

I like. It's a unique sound, and very artistically put together. The vocals really are beautiful. The harmonies are edgy, and the instrumentals are exceptionally well done.

Beautiful soprano, dreamy vocals, witty lyrics and an ambient electronica feel. Sort of lounge music with an edge. Part of what I like about it is that it's a little bit hard to describe.
